What is Post Implementation Review (PIR)

by orahtmmy

A Post-Implementation Review (PIR) is a structured evaluation conducted after completing a project, launching a new product, or implementing a new system. It assesses whether the project achieved its original objectives, identifies lessons learned, and evaluates the effectiveness of processes and strategies used.

For example, after implementing a new software, a PIR would analyze factors like functionality, user satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to timelines.

By gathering feedback from stakeholders and comparing outcomes to initial goals, the review aims to capture any key learns and improve future implementations. PIR’s enable companies to improve continually, a concept known as Kaizen.
